"We went to Tierra Peru yesterday and for me it is a proper Peruvian restaurant. My father is from Lima, and we spent a lot of time in Peru as I was growing up, and I have been to a West End Peruvian restaurant with my uncle, which had the food but was full of fashionable Londoners and didn't have the ambiance. Walking into Tierra Peru, though, you are walking into a small restaurant in Peru. The other diners were all Peruvian, which is a credit to the food and also to the proprietor, who was a really friendly and helpful man and went beyond good service. We even got our Inca Kola, which my children have missed since their visit to Peru, and chicha morada, which was the closest I have tasted to it outside Peru, where all ingredients are available! And the Pisco Sours were perfect. Everyone loved their food. We had a relaxing and comfortable meal, which was a special family celebration, and will return whenever we have a special occasion. Remember that this is a part of Peru, and everything is prepared freshly as you order, so it is not a place to rush through a hurried meal, but a place to enjoy every mouthful and a genuine relaxed experience. Anyone who has been to the country will be hooked. Anyone who wishes to visit Peru will have a taster."
